Industrial police starts its journey in Bangladesh

The much-awaited industrial police launched its journey with the initial 1,580 manpower and other logistic supports aimed at ensuring industry-friendly secure environment through maintaining law and order in the industrial belts in Bangladesh.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally inaugurated the special police unit at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital this morning.

The industrial police was formed under a guideline prepared on February 9 this year following an announcement of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the Jatiya Sangsad on July 8 last year in this regard.
