“BGMEA Worker Database” to Automate Apparel Industry in Bangladesh

PM inaugurated "BGMEA Worker Database" that developed by Systech Digital Limited. 

PM Sheikh Hasina Inaugurated "BGMEA Worker Database"

Prime Minister of People’s Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina inaugurated modern technology oriented “BGMEA Worker Database” in a program that was held in a local hotel on last Saturday 19 March, 2011. The program was crowded by several government ministers and officials, foreign diplomats, BGMEA president and office bearers, garment owners, more than 2000 garment workers and media personnel.  Program was live telecast by Bangla Vision TV Chanel.

Aligned with “Digital Bangladesh” vision of current government, “BGMEA Worker Database” is aimed to automate the RMG industry and its 3 million workers using modern technology. This database stores and update data of all RMG factories and employee’s personal & employment history and issues high-tech chip based ID card (proximity or biometrics) for each employee. This system will help to identify real RMG worker to facilitate them and to help in proper migration system to stop restlessness in the leading GDP contributor Apparel Industry of Bangladesh.  This software stoned another big milestone to Digital Bangladesh.

Technology partner of this software is Systech Digital Limited, a BASIS & BCS (Bangladesh Computer Samity) member company that successfully serving worldwide for the last 10 years. Mr. M Rashidul Hasan, Managing Director & CEO of Systech Digital Limited demonstrate the functionality of the software in the program. After inauguration of the software honorable PM distributed ID cards among the workers.
