The decision was announced at a meeting of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) with 48 workers' organisations in the city on Saturday, a statement issued by BGMEA said.
Abdus Salam Murshedy, president of BGMEA, presided over the meeting that discussed clearing of all dues before Eid and implementation of new wages for the garment workers.
The meeting was also informed that a tri-partite committee will be formed to ensure payment of perform clearing arrear before Eid and keep discipline in the industry.
All problems will be solved through discussion if there is any, the statement added.
Israfil Alam, president of Parliamentary Standing Committee of Labour and Employment Ministry, Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, first vice president and Siddiqur Rahman, vice president (Finance) of BGMEA, among other leaders, were present in the discussion meeting.
